Whether you’re aiming for a fix of Northern Hemisphere Christmas Winter Weather or simply in the mood for an (un)seasonal festive celebration, here’s 15 ways to mark Christmas in July this year.

2. Host a Second Christmas

Who says Christmas has to be celebrated in December?!  Get together with family and friends you couldn’t see over last Christmas, or know you won’t this year.  Whether you go down the traditional Christmas dinner route or mix things up is completely down to you!

3. Take A Trip Somewhere Christmassy

Get your festive fix with a trip somewhere it’s Christmas year-round.  From a year-round immersive Christmassy destination to a festively-named location you’ve spotted (North Pole Alaska, anyone?!).  You could even take a special trip to meet Santa at his year-round Lapland home in Rovaniemi.

4. Buy A Christmas Ornament

A fun annual tradition.  Support an independent, local year-round Christmas shop and visit to buy an ornament for your tree.  Or buy one on your holidays to double up as a souvenir memory.

5. Bake Some Christmas Cookies

Any excuse, are we right?!  Who says Christmas cookies are only for December?!  Why not have fun in the kitchen and bake up a batch of Christmas cookies to enjoy mid-year.  It’s best to get practising early anyway wink

6. Have A Christmas Movie Marathon

Take advantage of the increased number of Christmas movies on the TV for Christmas in July.  Don’t forget our free Christmas movie bingo game for added entertainment!

7. Test your Knowledge with a Christmas in July Quiz

Ever done a Christmas in July quiz?  Host a quiz event in your workplace or with friends.  Or simply see how much you know about this quirky celebration.  We just happen to have a free printable quiz ready for you to use…

8. Send Cards & Gifts

Christmas in July is a great excuse to remind friends they are in our thoughts and send a little mid-year cheer.  Perhaps link it to this year’s Christmas by sending a craft set for them to enjoy making over the coming months, or a plant to grow ready for Christmas décor and tablescaping.

9. Welcome Elfie Back

A great one for the kids!  Why not bring your elf on the shelf back for some school break antics?  It’s a chance to try some different elf poses and remind the little ones that Santa is keeping watch all year round wink

10. Spread Christmas Cheer

Not that we should need one, but Christmas in July would make a wonderful focal point for a few acts of kindness in the local community.  Organise a litter pick with Santa hats for a bit of Christmas in July festive fun and bring homemade Christmas cookies to enjoy afterwards.  Or set up a gift donation drive for your local hospice.

11. Try A Christmas in July Craft

Get crafty in the name of Christmas with a festive themed craft activity.  Great for keeping little hands entertained over the school break too. Make a gift for a grandparent or neighbour. Or create an (un)seasonal Christmas decoration – seashell Christmas tree anyone?

12. Have a Christmas in July wedding!

The ultimate Christmas in July party – perfect for those Christmas super fans looking for an excuse for a double festive celebration, this year and, with anniversary celebrations, forever more!!

13. Kickstart the Christmas Prep

Rather than celebrating Christmas in July itself, why not use this as your calendar reminder to gently start preparing for December.  Perhaps making a few cards, gifts, or decorations whilst the pressure is off and it’s more like a little mindful relaxation and time for you.  Or. if you didn’t get around to sorting the Christmas decs as you put them away in January, why not get it done now?

14. Play A Christmas Themed Game

Marking Christmas in July can be as simple as playing a Christmassy game.  It’ll keep the kids entertained and is bound to keep them amused as well with the (un)seasonal theming.  Choose a Christmas board game from your collection (or use this as an excuse to get a new one ready for this year).  Or, we’ve got a whole host of super easy, fun Christmas in July game ideas for you to try.

15. Christmas in July Mahjong

If you can’t find anyone else with the same enthusiasm for a celebration, enjoy a little game of the free online Christmas In July Mahjong Dimensions and drift off into your own North Pole wonderland as you match the pairs.
