How To Play

Just in case you aren’t familiar with how to play charades, here’s a quick run through of the rules.  It’s an easy game to learn and teach to others, and so much fun to play.

  • Pop all the Christmas songs charade cards in a bowl or hat and split the group into two teams.
  • A player from the first team takes a card and attempts to act out the song name for their team within a chosen timeframe (say 90 sec – 3 mins, depending on the group). No speaking, spelling, or mouthing of words.
  • If the rest of the team accurately guesses the Christmas song, the team gets a point.
  • Play then switches to the other team, with a new card and reset timer. Alternate teams back and forth, changing the player acting each time, until all the cards have been attempted.
  • The team with the most points wins.
