What To Put In A Homemade Lavender & Peppermint Foot Scrub
So, what makes this DIY foot scrub so luxurious?! The ingredients of course! Read on to find out how they all blend together to give your feet such a fabulous festive treat!

Epsom Salt
The perfect base for this scrub. The coarse salt grains are ideal for looking after hard-working feet. With gentle massage, you’ll boost circulation and exfoliate, leaving skin looking brighter and feeling softer. Westlab Epsom Bath Salt is a brilliant affordable option – get yours here.
Coconut Oil
Naturally antibacterial and full of wonderful fatty acids to help moisturise the skin. Cold-pressed coconut oil such as this one is widely agreed to be the best option to use on skin.
How much you add to this homemade foot scrub is down to personal preference although a 2:1 salt : coconut oil ratio tends to work well.
Lavender Essential Oil
Naturally soothing, lavender oil is great at relaxing muscles and calming both body and mind.
Peppermint Essential Oil
Cool refreshing peppermint oil will stimulate the mind while cleansing and invigorating the body.

Steps To Make The Foot Scrub
Homemade Lavender & Peppermint Foot Scrub
Materials
- 2 cups epsom bath salt approx. 500g
- 1 cup cold-pressed coconut oil approx. 230g
- 20 drops peppermint essential oil
- 20 drops lavender essential oil
- 2 mason jars
- 2 wooden scoops
- labels
- ribbons & other decorative finishes
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the epsom bath salt and coconut oil. Stir (using the edge of a spatula to break down any lumps) until fully mixed.
- Add approximately 20 drops of each of lavender and peppermint oil in turn, stirring the mixture to ensure fully integrated each time.
- Spoon mixture into clean mason jars, adding a small wooden scoop to the top of each before closing the lid tightly.
- Add ribbon and label, together with any other decorative embellishments to finish if gifting.
