Does it get any easier than cocktail sausages? Loved by all ages and easy to throw together, there is no better crowd pleaser for a festive party and these sticky cocktail sausages have long been a favourite at any of our Christmas gatherings.
As we make a slow return to the Christmas parties of former years, our plan is to leave behind the stress and panic and truly enjoy celebrating the time with loved ones.
We want to minimize our time in the kitchen and maximize our time hugging, laughing and being merry. This cocktail sausage recipe is the first step on that journey.

The nuttiness of the sesame seeds along with the heat of the chili and sweetness of honey creates a perfectly balanced bite.

Sticky Cocktail Sausages
Ingredients
- 40 pre-cooked cocktail sausages
- 75 ml sweet chili sauce
- 30 ml soy sauce
- 20 ml honey
- 2 tsp sesame seeds
Instructions
- In a dry frying pan, toast the sesame seeds over a low-medium heat until golden and with a nutty aroma. Set aside.
- In a bowl, combine the sweet chili sauce, honey and soy sauce.
- Place the cocktail sausages in a large frying pan over medium heat for 2-3 minutes. Add the sauce mixture and stir to ensure the sausages are evenly coated.
- Continue to cook for another 3-4 minutes until the sauce has reduced and the sausages are piping hot.
- Sprinkle with the toasted sesame seeds and serve.
